Legendary indie music specialist shop, first opened in 1976 at the height of punk/new
wave, with knowledgeable, friendly staff and a dizzying array of genres from indie-pop
and electronica to country and beyond.

Iconic Vivienne Westwood outlet, on the shabby end of the King's Road, from which she
sells clothes, shoes and accessories from her Anglomania label. In a previous incarna-
tion, when it was co-owned by Malcolm McLaren, it sold proto-punk fetishist gear, and
became a magnet for the young punks who went on to form the Sex Pistols.

Tiny café within London's top cookery bookshop. It's
cramped but friendly; this is an experience not to be
missed, with a tasty dishes at low prices. Make sure you
get there in time to grab a table for the set-menu lunch
(noon-1.30pm).

Sunny bar with emphasis on sherries (more than forty available by the glass), and inter-

A cute and kitsch place, this was one of the forerunners in London's cupcake craze, and
still specializes in pretty cupcakes and sumptuous sponges to take away.
