There are several chain motels and hotels off I-84 and on Dorion Ave.
Rugged Country Lodge MOTEL$

) On the eastern edge of town is this out-of-the-ordinary, great-deal motel featuring
stylish rooms with personal touches such as down pillows, quality linens and Pendleton
blankets. Most rooms line inside hallways, making them quiet and giving them a home-
like quality. A good breakfast and homemade cookies are included.
Working Girls Old Hotel HOTEL$

Run by Pendleton Underground Tours, this one-time bordello offers five large, beautiful
and antique-filled rooms. Only one is en suite; two rooms have private hallway baths
(only three rooms are rented at the same time, unless everyone's willing to share baths).
There's a kitchen, dining room and parlor for all guests to share, and the downtown loca-
tion is convenient.
This place is best for those who are self-sufficient and don't need much service
(there's no reception). Children over 16 only; reservations required.
Wild Horse Resort & Casino CAMPGROUND$

$15/19, RV sites $29-34; office 7am-10pm; ) There's plenty of grass and little
shade, but this tidy campground is only 5 miles east of Pendleton and offers an outdoor
heated pool and Jacuzzi. Bring your own bedding for the tipis. Rates are 30% cheaper
Monday through Thursday.
Emigrant Springs State Park CAMPGROUND$

sites $17/20, cabins $24-39; ) Located 26 miles east of Pendleton, this pleasant woodsy
campground is at an elevation, so it stays cool in summer. There's freeway noise, but
quieter cabins are available (bring bedding). The park has some interpretive information
on the Oregon Trail.
Pendleton House B&B B&B$$$

town is this pink 1917 Italian Renaissance mansion with its original furniture, wall-paper
and even drapes. The home's details are amazing (especially the communal shower), and
there's a relaxing front covered patio with wicker furniture. Be prepared to get to know
