(4141 N Mesa St; 3pm-2am Mon-Thu, from 11am Fri-Sun) We love this place up off Mesa on the
west side, not just for its beer selection, which is ponderous and includes - no surprise -
some great Belgians, but for its nice patio and better-than-usual pub food.

( www.hopeandanchorelpaso.com ; 4012 N Mesa St; 3pm-2am Mon-Sat, from 4pm Sun) Too crowded in-
side? That's okay, we were heading to the beautiful patio to enjoy the nice weather any-
way. This is a great place to unwind just down the street from the Hoppy Monk. Pub
crawl, anyone?

Tap. Located right downtown, it's also a Mexican restaurant, so you can scarf down some

(5200 Doniphan Dr; 3pm-2am) A unique spot in El Paso, this open-air beer garden is a great
place to wind down after a long day. The folks here are some of the friendliest you will
meet. Extra points for its T-shirt: 'The liver is evil and must be punished!'
