A few Houston hotels stand out, but the vast majority of sleeping spots belong to the chain
gang. Options off I-610 near the Galleria tend to be the newest and priciest. The further
out you get, the cheaper the chain motels. Budget digs are hard to find near the center.
Stay downtown and you'll be walking distance to the Theater District, Market Square
or the light rail. Around the I-59 corridor between Downtown and the Galleria, in
Midtown, Montrose and the Museum District, you're well located for museums, shops
and restaurants.
