pite the name, this is no Parisian millinery, but a purveyor of fine cowboy hats since 1917.
You'll walk out looking like a real cowboy with headgear that's been shaped and fitted to
your very own noggin. It's one of the best places in the state to get a Stetson (or whatever
brand of hat is mutually agreed to suit you).

19th-century cement plant, this outdoor mall has plenty of top-brand stores, a multiplex
cinema and restaurants. A few Austin-based chains here include Whole Foods Market for
groceries, Amy's Ice Creams and the outdoors outfitter Whole Earth Provision Co.
Cinema and restaurant hours vary.

Arts Complex, this store has a fabulous collection of colorful and whimsical folk art, and
is a good place to start when exploring the shops and galleries.

romantic breath of fresh air, this shop has mix-and-match pieces in vibrant prints and fab-
rics you won't find anywhere else. It also sells designer jewelry imports in a new location
over in the Pearl Complex.
Hogwild Records

vinyl, Hogwild also vends tapes and CDs. If you're after alt-country, punk 'zines or rare
drum'n'bass records, this independent music store is the place. Just look for the front
door, plastered with band flyers and deep layers of stickers.
