Festivals & Events
Thanks to its central alpine location and stiff winds, Filzmoos has become something of a
ballooning mecca. In mid-January the village hosts the spectacular
Hanneshof Hot Air Balloon
Week
. The highlight is the magical Night of Balloons, when 40 balloons illuminate the
night sky.
Sleeping & Eating
Filzmoos is scattered with characterful, modestly priced chalets, private rooms and ho-
tels. High-season rates are in winter; expect substantial reductions in summer.
