Park Hyatt
( 970-949-1234; www.beavercreek.hyatt.com ; 136 East Thomas Pl; d summer/winter $250/1200;
) Definitely the star of Beaver Creek Village, this splashy hotel spills out to the foot of
the mountain, practically kissing the Buckaroo Express gondola. Rooms don't quite match
the location's pizzazz, but they are plush with French windows and a private terrace;
everything was fully renovated in late 2013.
The outdoor pool and fire pits are tucked into a little gulch at the top of the village.

20-minute open-air sleigh ride through the snowy night to a glowing cabin on the slopes,
warm from a crackling fire and with a kitchen turning out Colorado classics such as Col-
orado rack of lamb and almond-crusted trout. In summer, you have the option of arriving
via wagon ride or a one-hour horseback trip.
Dusty Boot
( 970-748-1146; www.dustyboot.com ; St James Pl; lunch $11-13, dinner $18-34; 11am-11pm; ) This
friendly saloon keeps it real. This food may not be for health nuts, but it's damn tasty. The
burgers (including veggie burgers), handcut steaks and shaved prime-run sandwiches are
all recommended. And the regulars here? All locals.
