enridge spans five mountains (Peaks 6 to 10), covering 2900 acres and featuring some of
the best beginner and intermediate terrain in the state, as well as plenty of exhilarating
high-alpine runs and hike-to bowls. There are also five terrain parks and two half-pipes
here.
You access the mountain from the free BreckConnect Gondola , which runs from downtown
Breckenridge Station (Watson Ave) and serves the Nordic Center, Peak 7 and Peak 8. Lift
tickets are good at Keystone and A-Basin, and if you buy a three-day pass or longer, you
also get access to Vail. See the website for detailed information on the ski school.
Breckenridge Nordic Center

Breckenridge's Nordic Center has nine cross-country trails and five snowshoe trails set
beneath the base of Peak 7. You can get here via a free town bus, the gondola (plus a short
hike) or by car.
SNOW SPORTS
Stephen C West Ice Arena

vary) An attractive lodge-like arena south of town houses the town ice rinks (both indoor
and outdoor). It's open for public skating at least four days a week. Check the website for
the latest schedule.
SKATING
Mountain & Road Biking
In summer, mountain bikers can take the chairlift (1 haul/full-day $17/30; 9:30am-5:30pm mid-
Jun-mid-Sep) to the 11,000ft Vista Haus summit and cruise (or fly, depending on the run)
down one of 11 designated cycle trails, two of which wander over to Peak 9.
You can rent bikes at the base of Peak 8 or in town; sports shops will also be able to
suggest a few more rides (the kind where you have to work to get downhill), as there are
over 200 miles of off-road trails in the area.
Summit County's fabulous network of paved bikepaths ( Click here ) wrap around the
Dillon Reservoir, stretching from Keystone to Breckenridge to Vail, and are definitely
worth exploring. From Breck to Frisco is 9.5 miles along the Blue River, with only 550ft
of elevation change. Breck Sports runs shuttles ($30) to the top of Vail Pass, from where
