at Lakeside Village, offers hotel-style accommodations with comfortable rooms. The Inn at
Keystone ( 800-328-1323; www.keystoneresort.com ; 21996 Hwy 6; r from $265, fees included; ) is
slightly cheaper and located at Mountain House, meaning you can walk to the lifts, though
it is also less plush.
Eating & Drinking
There are more than 30 restaurants sprinkled throughout the resort, though the offerings
are all fairly tame. Kickapoo Tavern ( www.kickapootavern.com ; River Run; mains $10-17; 11am-10pm;
) is your basic, friendly Colorado eatery with veggie, buffalo and beef burgers, brisket
sandwiches, rib baskets, wraps and burritos. Inxpot ( www.inxpot.com ; River Run; mains $9-11;
7am-5pm; ) , a groovy, hippie-run, rock-and-roll coffeehouse, does righteous breakfast
sandwiches, jet-fueled coffee, soups and sandwiches for lunch, and it has a book nook too.
Getting There & Away
Keystone is located 75 miles west of Denver. Take exit 205 (Silverthorne) off I-70 and
follow Hwy 6 east - don't go over Loveland Pass unless you plan on taking the scenic
route. There are several free parking lots.
