( 303-443-8696; www.etown.org ; 1535 Spruce St) Beautiful and brand new, this is the home of
etown radio show (heard on public radio), which features rising and even well-known
artists combined with community awards. It's all very Boulder, and you can get in on it by
attending a live taping. It's a good way to check out artists who charge a lot more for reg-

to watch because the competition is usually stiff. And like most great schools, it has a
transcendent baller from the not-too-distant past. Chauncey 'Mr Big Shot' Billups starred
here before he became an NBA champ and finals MVP.

FOOTBALL
( 303-492-8337; www.cubuffs.com ; 2400 Colorado Ave, Folsom Field; tickets $50-120; selected Sat; ;
209, STAMPEDE) Boulder sports fans may have allegiances to Denver's pro teams, but they
have several teams of their own too, and they are all called the CU Buffaloes. Still, while
college volleyball, gymnastics and baseball have their place, it's the football team that
rules campus.
