PIZZERIA $$
( 303-442-3003; localeboulder.com ; 1730 Pearl Street; pizzas $9-17; Mon-Thu 11:30am-2pm, 4:30-10:30pm,
Fri & Sat 11:30am-10:30pm, Sun 11:30am-9pm; 204, HOP) The obvious choice for a slice with style.
Beloved stepchild of upscale Frasca (they share a kitchen), this southern Italian-style
pizzeria fills with locals at the bar sipping aperol spritzers and house wine on barrel tap.
Starters like arancini (risotto balls with a hint of orange) show off street cred. For deals,
come between 4:30pm and 5:30pm.
The double-zero crust and a fast, super-hot firing produces pies that are crispy and
chewy. While Margarita is a well-done classic, combinations like egg and corn offer a
happy surprise.
