Situated on the highest point of the peninsula, Macau's most significant fort is home to the
oldest lighthouse on the China coast (built in 1865) and the stunning
Chapel of Our Lady
of Guia

Kun Iam Temple

In the main hall of Macau's second-oldest temple (1627) is a statue of a bearded arhat ru-
moured to represent Marco Polo. The first treaty of trade and friendship between the USA
and China was signed in the temple's gardens in 1844.
