Situated on the highest point of the peninsula, Macau's most significant fort is home to the
oldest lighthouse on the China coast (built in 1865) and the stunning Chapel of Our Lady
of Guia ( Capela de Nossa SeƱora da Guia; 10am-5pm Tue-Sun) , built in 1622 and retaining almost
all of its original features, including some of Asia's most valuable mural paintings.

5 Kun Iam Temple

In the main hall of Macau's second-oldest temple (1627) is a statue of a bearded arhat ru-
moured to represent Marco Polo. The first treaty of trade and friendship between the USA
