Edinburgh Airport
About 8 miles west of the city centre, Edinburgh Airport (EDI; www.edinburghairport.com )
has numerous flights to other parts of Scotland and the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
Lothian Buses Airlink ( www.flybybus.com ) Bus service 100 runs from the airport to
Waverley Bridge, outside the main train station, via Haymarket and the West End every 10
minutes from 4am to midnight, every 30 minutes through the night (£3.50/6 one way/re-
turn, 30 minutes).
Taxi An airport taxi to the city centre costs around £16 to £18 and takes about 20 minutes.
Taxis depart from outside the arrivals hall; go out through the main doors and turn left.
Tram ( www.edinburghtrams.com ) Service scheduled to begin in summer 2014. Trams run
from the airport to York Pl in the city centre via Princes St.
Edinburgh Waverley Train Station
The main train station is Edinburgh Waverley, located in the heart of the city between the
Old Town and New Town. Trains arriving from, and departing for, the west also stop at Ed-
inburgh Haymarket station, which is more convenient for the West End.
