Big
Corn's only diving outfitter, Nautilus Dive Center, is run in true island style - relaxed to
some, disorganized to others. It gets mixed reviews and some of the equipment is a bit
worn. However, it is friendly and staff have good local knowledge.
English-speaking dive guides lead trips to the local reef (US$40 per dive), which has an
abundance of hard and soft corals, and two-dive trips to Blowing Rock (US$95). It also
offers a cool snorkel tour of a sunken Spanish galleon (US$25). What's left of the ancient
vessel is immersed in 5m of water, but you can see several cannons, an anchor and chest-
like structures. Dive packages (10 dives for US$300), and open-water (US$280) and ad-
vanced open-water (US$230) courses are available.

stretch of beach, this relaxed guesthouse offers a handful of neatly painted, clean rooms a
stone's throw from the water.

on Brig Bay beach is a budget traveler's favourite with six small rooms in a wooden
house. It's a good deal, so take note of the sign on the gate: 'No Deals!'

Efficient hotel
offering a range of accommodations, the best of which are found in split-level duplexes.
Downstairs are pink concrete flats with two full-sized beds, air-con, cable TV, hot water
and a minibar. The same amenities and layout are found upstairs in the wooden bungalow-
style rooms, which also have ample deck space and ocean views. Smaller single rooms are
set back from the road (and the beach).
