In-Depth Information
Marley T-shirts. But even with big business, wide tree-shaded brick city streets, an attract-
ive Catholic church and solid infrastructure, Rama is still a scruffy port town that does not
generally inspire travelers to extend their layover on the way between Managua and Blue-
fields.
Sights & Activities
The Catholic church , about two blocks downriver from the dock, is outfitted with funky
stained-glass picture windows and a neon cross. It opens onto a cheery, palm-shaded
Parque Central. You can climb the big hill just east of town, La Loma (Cerro de Rama),
but you'll need to navigate the port-town slums.
