Lopud
The main attraction of the Elaphite Islands, Lopud feels like a humbler Cavtat without all
the great art. But Lopud's trump card is its fine beaches, including one of the nicest beaches
in the area (a long hike or short golf-cart ride away). Lopud feels a bit bigger, more vital,
and more inviting than the other two islands. Most excursions give it far more time than
Kolo
č
ep or Šipan; it's also accessible by public ferry, and may be worth considering for an
all-day beach getaway.

This gorgeous, shallow, sandy beach—hemmed in on both sides by forested
cliffs—is squeezed between beach bars and ritzy yachts and sailboats that drop anchor to
