Sauna
Finland's vaporized fountain of youth is the sauna—Scandinavia's answer to support
hose and facelifts. A traditional sauna is a wood-paneled room with wooden benches
and a wood-fired stove topped with rocks. The stove is heated blistering hot. Undress
entirely before going in. Lay your towel on the bench, and sit or lie on it (for hygienic
reasons). Ladle water from the bucket onto the rocks to make steam. Choose a higher
bench for hotter temperatures.
