Travelers swoon over this friendly choice, probably be-
cause the matriarch here showers them with grandmotherly love; or perhaps it's the excel-
lent breakfast on the small terrace with hammocks and jungle views? Rooms in the main

ises air-con, larger rooms and shockingly bright yellow bathrooms. Being a few blocks

This small, nine-room guesthouse boasts 'boutiquey'
rooms with unfinished concrete flooring and rustic woven headboards, giving it a
smidgeon more character for this price range. Rooms surround a jungly makeshift court-
yard full of chirping canaries and tiny gawking monkeys (though all are caged). There's
an expansive 2nd-floor open-air terrace for breakfast.

This quaint hotel has beamed ceilings and an inviting
wooden staircase. The classy rooms are an eclectic mix: some have balconies, some have
air-con and some need new flooring. Even though it's right in the town center, La Posada
manages to remain quiet.

derly and bright and at this price is pretty good bang for your buck. The staff is always
