You might begin questioning your sobriety when you notice
that all the brightly painted walls of this plazaside colonial building seem to be on a slight
angle. Don't worry - they are. The aged carnival fun-house appearance makes it justifi-
ably popular with gringos and just adds to the charm, however. The rooms follow in the
footsteps of this slightly wonky theme and are clean and cozy, some with tiny showers
and insufficient shower curtains, so peek around. And don't expect the creaky old floors
to afford a sleep in, but that is hardly unique.

of the town's best-value sleeping options, this huge historic mansion conceals an eclectic
collection of well-maintained and graceful older rooms. Some of the rooms come with
split levels and all are filled with plenty of gleaming wood and tasteful decorations. At the
mansion's heart, a gorgeous courtyard area is filled with greenery, a fountain and a caco-
phony of sculptures and statues.

There's a wonderful courtyard and the recommended restaurant occasionally hosts live
