In-Depth Information
Most bus companies are on Ormeño in front of the petrol station at the eastern end of
town. Many buses stop here to pick up extra passengers. Cruz del Norte/Transportes
Huandoy ( 41-1633; Ormeño 121) offer frequent services to Lima and three daily de-
partures for Huaraz at 9am, 2pm and 9pm (the latter, along with Yungay Express, has
buses that take the scenic route via the Callán Pass). Faster minivans to Huaraz also leave
from in front of this office when full.
Tepsa ( 41-2275; Huamay 356) has comfortable buses to Lima departing at
12:30am daily. Erick El Rojo ( 41-1571; Ormeño 145) has five daily departures to
Trujillo and one 7:30pm departure to Tumbes. Etta (Ormeño s/n) , below Hostal Gregori,
hits all coastal cities north, including Máncora and Tumbes, departing at 8:30am and 9pm
daily.
For Sechín, mototaxis (S6) make the run. They are all around town, but there's an hon-
est cluster operating as Motocars Virgen de Fatima on Plaza San Martín.
