snakes out the door at this Western-style, Australian-run eatery. With fresh juices blended
with mint or ginger, strong coffee and eggs heaped with smoked salmon or roasted toma-

A cozy Alpine cafe serving healthy fare, some of it provided from the small farm of the
German owner. In addition to Peruvian fare ( rocoto relleno is served vegetarian, with
stuffed chili and peanuts), there are crepes and huge bowls of soups and salads. Save room
for dessert.

by Idaho natives, this cafe nails gringo breakfast. Start with organic coffee or nice loose-
leaf teas, oversized waffles and egg combinations. We hear the half-pound bacon cheese-
burgers merit a lunchtime visit. Service is swift and friendly. All proceeds go to support
community projects.
