Getting There & Around
The
bus station
lies about 1km northeast of the centre. A shared/contract
bajaj
to the
centre costs Birr1.50/30.
Around 10 buses daily run to Addis Ababa (Birr85, four to five hours) and Sodo (Bir-
r46, 2½ hours), plus two to Arba Minch (Birr83, six hours). There are many buses and
minibuses to Dilla (Birr27, 2½ hours) and nearly constant minibus departures to Shashe-
mene (Birr8, 30 minutes). For Moyale, go to Shashemene or Dilla and get a bus direct
from there. The deluxe
Sky Bus

departs to Addis from in front of the bus sta-
tion at 6am. The ticket office is in the Alliance Marketing Centre building downtown.
