Tutorial 1
In this tutorial, you will texture a 3D model of pencil and eraser. The final output is shown
in Figure 9-1. (Expected time: 60 min)

The following steps are required to complete this tutorial:
a. Open the file.
b. Assign materials to the pencil and eraser.
c. Unwrap the pencil.
d. Create the texture of the pencil in Adobe Photoshop.
e. Unwrap the eraser.
f. Create texture of the eraser in Adobe Photoshop.
g. Save and render the scene.
Opening the File
In this section, you will open the file.
1. Choose File > Open from the main menu; the Open File dialog box is displayed.
2. In the Open File dialog box, browse to \Documents\c4dr16\c09\c09_tut1_start and then
choose the Open button; the c09_tut1_start.c4d file is opened, as shown in Figure 9-2.
