Getting Around

at very fair rates. A taxi usually waits near Hotel Girassol Lichinga. Otherwise, Lúrio Em-
preendimentos can help with booking taxis.
FIM DO MUNDO
Fim do mundo (the end of the world) is how many Mozambicans describe Niassa - the least populated of Mozam-
bique's provinces - and as far as the rest of the country is concerned, it might as well be. The area is generally
overlooked by the government and other locals and ignored by tourists. Yet if you're after adventure and time in
the bush, it's an ideal destination. Apart from Niassa's scenic rugged terrain, the main attractions are the Lake Ni-
assa coastline and the wild Niassa Reserve ( Click here ) .
Lake Niassa” (Lake Malawi)
The Mozambican side of Lake Niassa (Lago Niassa) is beautiful and, in contrast to the
Malawian side, almost completely undeveloped. It sees a small but steady stream of ad-
venture travellers and is an excellent destination for anyone wanting to get off the beaten
track.
