is set on a large estate about 2.5km from town, and signposted. It's tranquil and good
value, with spotless, pleasant rooms (some in attached rows, some in small
rondavels

surrounded by expansive grounds and a small lake. It's ideal for families, or for anyone
coming with their own transport. There's also a restaurant.

Vision
2000, at the main intersection, is not the newest of hotels, as its name gives away, and it's
rather down at the heel these days, although the shower-bidet combo in a few of the rooms
might be an attraction for some. The attached restaurant has a small selection of meals,
and visits to the nearby garnet mines (about 5km from town) can be arranged.

This long-standing, local-style guesthouse has small, clean rooms crowded behind the
restaurant-bar area. Each room has one small double bed. While it's not the most luxuri-
ous of establishments, it's the best value-for-price option in the town centre, and located
an easy 10-minute walk from the train station and bus stand. Breakfast is included in the
deal.

Just down from Pensão Namaacha, this supermarket has a good selection
of basics and is convenient for stocking up before the train ride to Nampula.
