here ) , 700 sq km of riverine valleys and miombo woodlands situated in the Rift Valley
close to Blantyre. Sip sundowners under the watchful eyes of hippos and crocs in the mean-
dering Shire River, dodge buffaloes and elephants and ensconce yourself in luxurious
boutique-style digs at wonderful Mkulumadzi Camp. Majete - a conservation model for
others to follow - is also home to Malawi's first reintroduced lion pride.
