Mt Mulanje (Malawi)
11 At an elevation of 3002 m, the Mulanje massif ( Click here ) is a vision of rolling
grasslands intersected by forest ravines. It's also a paradise for trekkers and climbers, with
several climbable peaks and a series of cabanas for overnight stays during longer hikes.
Imagine montane forest acroak with frogs, rocky outcrops and clear mountain streams for
refilling your bottle. This is among the most dramatic scenery in the country. But, be
warned, you have to earn it. The only way up is on foot.
