How many NeoPixels can I drive with FLORA?
FLORA can drive up to 50 pixels directly from the onboard
power supply, or up to 500 with the pixels externally pow-
ered by the VBATT pad and a battery or supply capable of
delivering the current required (max 60 mA per pixel). For

NeoPixel Uberguide” .
Can I communicate with FLORA from my iOS or Android device?
FLORA can be connected to the Adafruit NRF8001 Blue-
tooth LE module, though it requires using some of the ICSP
pads at the center of the board. The BLE module then allows
UART messages to be sent/received using Adafruit's BLE
Connect iOS app or Nordic's UART manager app on Android.
What's the difference between FLORA and GEMMA? Which one
is best for my project?
GEMMA is a smaller, less powerful sewable microcontroller;
it's like FLORA's kid sister. It can't communicate over serial,
so GPS is out, and the smaller memory means it can't hold
as much code or run very complicated Arduino libraries. But
for many projects with just NeoPixels or simple sensors like
photoresistors and vibration switches, GEMMA is perfect
(and costs less than FLORA). You can develop and debug
your simple program on FLORA and then port it to GEMMA
for embedding in your project with some minor code
changes.
