Figure 4. Example of some of the available toolkits
The goal of these toolkits was to provide the
INOVA staff a set of tool that would help them
give a consistent report of the needs of their cus-
tomers, based on these results as much as in their
own experience.
These toolkits were not thought only as tools
for the internal staff. Nowadays there are not any
tools in the market that can give a user a general
approach to the levels of innovation, optimization
and valorization that their company have without
paying a pretty high amount of money. Because
of this reason, we decided to give partial access
to these tools to any user. By answering a set of
questions related with their businesses, they can
partially establish what their needs are. The re-
sponses received to these questions are processed
internally by the system. After it, a conclusion is
given to the user, showing some graphic results
that will tell them the status of their companies
in five important points, and if its situation in the
fields of innovation and optimization is acceptable,
or if otherwise, they need to take special care in
improving the problems they have. Besides these
graphics, the users will receive some suggestions
about which are the weak points they have, and the
steps they should follow to improve that situation.
