The
central
Old Jail Museum
(Vliet and Dodge, 920/388-4410, noon-4pm daily in summer,
free) is near the courthouse in an old sheriff's home, part of which doubled as the jail, with
gruesome dungeon cells. Statues of Father Marquette and solemn, pious Potawatomi are
likelywhatyou'llbeshownfirst.Head,too,forthereplicaoftheUSS
Pueblo.
Theill-fated
Navy ship, involved in an incident with North Korea in the 1950s, was built in Kewaunee
during World War II.
