Partizan Bar BAR

hemian Partizan was Valaoritou's first bar and almost a decade on it's still popular. Un-
like most other places here, it's open for coffee by day, though it's busiest late.
Elvis BAR, CLUB

( 2310 556 828; cnr Valaoritou 31 & Syngrou) Once a waterfront bar, Elvis has left the
building and is now domiciled up on Valaoritou, where its slick interior and chilled-out
DJ parties have preserved its bar-cum-club feel.
Coo BAR

venue to promote the musical creations of a few friends has become an alternative bar.
Beneath lies a musty cellar for experimental theatre, photo exhibits and summer concerts.
There's a Coo internet radio station too, involving DJs in various countries.
Collectiva Alternativa BAR

( 6977228195; Katholikon 1 & Typou; 9pm-3am) This grungy side-street bar has gained a
certain following since opening in 2012 and sometimes has live acts in its narrow
standing-room-only contours.
Enola BAR

( www.enola.gr ; Valaoritou 19, 2nd floor; 10pm-3am) Despite lingering hard feelings
between the Pride movement and the church, Thessaloniki's most popular gay bar is
amusingly enough housed above an ecclesiastical supplies shop, in an underpass from
Egnatia. Enter from the Valaoritou side and take the elevator to the second floor. '80s and
dance music are generally well represented, though Thursday is Greek night.
Ladadika & Around
Somewhere in the foggy past, Ladadika's brothels were patronised by visiting seamen;
