One of the exciting symbols of Bendigo's modern building boom is the construction of an Art Series Hotel
( www.artserieshotels.com.au ; cnr Bayne & Lucan Sts), part of a sophisticated chain that has won plaudits in Mel-
bourne and is now expanding into regional Victoria. Due to open in 2014, it will have 128 rooms, four stars and
artwork in abundance. The name was yet to be decided at the time of writing, but it promises to be one of
Bendigo's best.
