Orientation to Roskilde
Tourist Information
Roskilde's helpful TI is on the main square, not far from the cathedral (Mon-

Arrival in Roskilde
There are no lockers at the train station (or nearby), but the TI—about a
5-minute walk away—will take your bags for a few hours if you ask nicely
(they'll likely charge 25 kr).
From the train station, consider this circular route: First you'll head to the
TI, then the nearby cathedral, and finally down to the harborfront museum.
Exit straight out from the station, and walk down to the bottom of the square.
Turn left (at the Kvickly supermarket) on the pedestrianized shopping street,
Algade. After about four blocks, you emerge into the main square, Stænder-
torvet. The TI is straight ahead, and the cathedral is to your right. After visit-
ing the cathedral, you'll head about 10 minutes downhill (through a pleasant
park) to the Viking Museum: Facing the cathedral facade, turn left and head
down the path through the park. When you emerge at the roundabout, contin-
ue straight through it to reach the museum.
If you want to go directly from the station to the Viking Museum, you can
ride a bus; see here .
