If you plan on staying for an extended period (longer than three nights), renting an apartment can be cheaper and
more comfortable than a hotel. While you sacrifice a 24-hour reception desk and someone to cook your breakfast,
you gain a bit more privacy, a washing machine and a fully-equipped kitchen.

10-minute walk south of the centre. The apartments have been fully renovated and furnished in tastefully modern,
minimalist style. Rates vary depending on the size of the apartment and the time of year.
Sleeping
Accommodation prices in Ljubljana are the highest in the country, so expect to shell out a
bit more here than elsewhere. For tighter budgets there is a growing number of higher-
quality modern hostels, some with private singles and doubles. For longer stays of more
than a couple of nights, there's the option of renting out a private apartment. The TIC
website maintains a comprehensive list of hotels and sleeping options, including private
rooms (single/double from €30/50). Unfortunately, only a few of these are in the centre;
most require a bus trip north to Bežigrad or beyond.
