CAFE, BAR
( www.atellani.it ; Via della Moscova 28; 8.30am-9.30pm Mon-Fri, 9.30am-7.30pm Sat & Sun; ; Moscova,
Turarti) Next to the Santa Teresa Mediateca digital library, Cafe Atellani's glasshouse
design is modelled on a tropical greenhouse and overlooks a tranquil garden. Inside, the
long sleek bar is lined with an extensive selection of Italian wines, which you can enjoy
after a browse in the cinema bookshop.
Bulgari Hotel

( www.bulgarihotel.com ; Via Privata Fra-telli Gabba 7b; 7.30am-1am; Montenapoleone) Whether it's in-
side beneath the giant botanical sculptures at the earth-toned bar or outside on the terrace
overlooking the brilliantly green garden, the aperitivo scene here is an intense slice of
Milan life. The second-cheapest wine on the list may weigh in at €20 but it's cheap for the
theatre, darling. The restaurant serves a light Med menu.
BAR
Pandenus

BAR
( www.pandenus.it ; Via Alessandro Tadino 15; cocktails €8, brunch €20; 7am-10pm; ; Porta Venezia) Ori-
ginally a bakery, Pandenus was named after the walnut bread that used to emerge from its
still active oven. Now the focaccia, pizzetta and bruschetta on its burgeoning aperitivo bar
are some of the best in town. Given its proximity to the Marconi Foundation (which is
dedicated to contemporary art) expect a good-looking, arty crowd.
