culturally meaningful souvenir. The work of six artists ranging from intricately carved
wooden spoons to painted-glass icons, peasant-style clay statues, naive-style rustic stools
and painted eggs will keep you busy.

Banca Transilvania (btwn Piaţa Cetăţii & Muzeulul) Just an ATM and along with Hotel
Sighişoara's ATM, the only bank option in the citadel.

7.30am-7.30pm Mon-Fri) Recently relocated.
TRAVEL AGENCIES Hotels and guesthouses can negotiate with honest taxi drivers for
a return trip to Biertan for around 100 lei.
Cultural Heritage Info Centre ( 0788-115 511; www.dordeduca.ro ; Piaţa Muzeului;
10am-6pm Tue-Sun) Rents out bikes (5 lei per hour) and offers guided tours of
Sighişoara and the fortified churches as well as DVDs on the same subject. It also has
maps of the city and region.
