TUTORIAL 1 (Adding Appearances to the Complete Part)
1.
Download the Appearances and Rendering part files from the Companion web-
site and open the Tutorial 1 file.
2.
On the View Toolbar, click the
Edit Appearance
icon.
You can also right click on the part in the FeatureManager Design Tree and select
Appear-
ances > Tutorial 1
.
3.
Click the
Basic
tab on the PropertyManager. Notice that Tutorial 1.SLDPRT is
listed in the
Selected Geometry
section. You can use the
Select Part
,
Select
Faces
,
Select Surfaces
,
Select Bodies
, and
Select Features
icons to select dif-
ferent types of geometry.
4.
Leave the entire part as Selected Geometry in the PropertyManager.
5.
Click the
Appearances, Scenes, and Decals
tab on the Task pane.
6.
On the Task pane, click
Appearances (color) > Metal > Aluminum
. Notice
the various types of Aluminum listed on the lower portion of the Task pane.
7.
Select
blue anodized aluminum
from the Task pane.
