Harbour Island is the priciest place to sleep in Eleuthera. If money's no object and rustic-
chic luxury is your style, you'll be golden. Budget digs are trickier. Most wallet-con-
scious travelers stay on 'mainland' Eleuthera or band together with friends or family for

long adored this 20-acre hideaway. Walking into the intimate open-air lobby, with its koi
pond and carved Moroccan swing and ancient fig trees, feels like entering an Arabian
Nights fairy tale. The 25 sleek cottages are their own private mini-kingdoms, with sitting
areas and porches and minibars stocked with everything from champagne to Cracker Jacks.
Some have million-dollar views of Pink Sands Beach, while others are tucked away be-
neath the trees. Stop in for a drink at the Blue Bar, an exquisitely minimalist beach lounge
whose walls blend in with the sky.

something out of a millionaire's Greek villa, all modern furniture and marble and floor-
to-ceiling oil paintings. Even if you don't stay here, do dress up and drop by for evening
cocktails at the outdoor tiki bar.
