casual lunch and dinner spots scattered around New Plymouth. The aforementioned hotels
are the best places for classy cocktails; for Kalik-fueled fun, there are a number of ultra-
casual bars in town.
McIntosh Restaurant & Bakery BAHAMIAN, AMERICAN $

1955 inside this humble New Plymouth cafe, with plastic-covered tables, carpeted floors
and gut-busting Bahamian and American dishes like cracked conch, cheesy omelets and
key lime pie. The attached ice-cream shop is a welcome stop on a hot afternoon.
Lizard Bar & Grill INTERNATIONAL $

ward Yacht Club, this outdoor bar serves upscale international nibbles like shrimp kebabs
and ahi tuna burgers. Diners get to use the pool.
Laura's Kitchen BAHAMIAN $

fare such as grilled fish sandwiches and BBQ ribs, served in a personality-free dockside
cottage.
Sundowners Bar BAR

petizers, a pool table, and a monthly full-moon party draw mostly local crowds to this
bright-painted waterfront shack, which also serves burgers, pizzas and conch.
