scuba rigs nearby. Most people are here on dive packages, though the lodge is also popu-
lar with anglers. Everything, from bikes to kayaks to dinners, is included in the daily rate.
The lodge takes a genuine interest in sustainability, composing food and making drinking
glasses from old wine bottles. Only half of the rustic stone and wood rooms have air con-
ditioning - request your preference at booking.

somewhat institutional-feeling, this pink motelhas clean tiled rooms with minifridge set on
manicured rolling lawns. There's a restaurant, a pool and a tiki bar open on the weekends.

(Love Hill; mains $10-20; lunch & dinner) Expect to be embraced when you walk
into this homey cafe - literally! Owner Cinderella Hinsey hugs all her guests, whether or
not she's met them before. Her love overflows into the food - delectable cracked conch,
sautéed lobster, BBQ turkey. The sunny, spotless dining room, perched on stilts above a
marsh, is one of Andros' most pleasant lunch spots.
Hank's Place BAHAMIAN $$
(Fresh Creek; mains $10-25; lunch & dinner) On concrete pylons overhanging the wa-
ter, this brown wooden beach bar is a prime spot to munch conch fritters, pork chops or
lobster, all washed down with the lethal house cocktail, the Hanky Panky. Look out for
weekend fish fries and roasts.
For groceries, try Adderley's Bargain Mart or the small store at the Chickcharnie Hotel
, both in Fresh Creek.
