The initial steps will be used to set up the external data source before the order selection data
source is added. After the external data is added, it will be incorporated into the report for order
selection purposes. Finally, we will demonstrate how a new file can be provided with the updated
order list and how the report results will change.
Step 1: Start the Report
1.
Launch
Report Studio
and select the
GO Data Warehouse (query)
package.

Click on the
Create new
option.
3.
Select the
Repeater Table
template and click
OK
.
Step 2: Set Up the External Data Source
1.
In the
Source
tab of the
Insertable Objects
pane, click on the
Manage External Data
button, as shown in Figure 6.6. The External Data wizard dialog is displayed.

NOTE
The capability to add an external data source is an advanced feature given to
report authors. If you do not see this button, you will need to ask the administrator whether
you can have access to this feature.

In the
Select Data
pane, click the
Browse
button to select the import file.
The Choose file dialog box opens.
