Trident is, along with the Oberoi, part of the Oberoi Hotel complex. But the Trident wins
out both on price and on the spiffy, streamlined design of its restaurants, bars and pool
area. The rooms, too, are as cool as the Oberoi's, but with earthy elements (and smaller
bathrooms).

West End's spacious art-deco rooms have modish beds, balconies, and moments of mid-
century modern and Hollywood regency. Bless their hearts, the look is totally accidental.
The rest of the place is old-fashioned, down to the friendly service and the hotel's
taglines: 'Honest Prices' and 'Good VFM' - Value For Money. If the rates were a wee bit
lower, that would be TT - totally true.
