Rooms at this
friendly place are incredibly small and need some paint, and some of the standard rooms
are low on natural light. But they're spick and span and a stone's throw from CST. Plus,
the kooky pastel design scheme makes you feel like you're inside an ice-cream cone. In a
good way.

Recent renovations have transformed the friendly Residency into a contemporary
design-style hotel, with mood lighting, rain showers and leather-walled elevators. Rooms
also have fridges, flatscreens, slippers and wi-fi (free in the pricier rooms). But there are
odd oversights (why only a single towel in double rooms?) that shouldn't happen in this
price range.
