In-Depth Information
“bottom post.” Then down below where it says “Ad Code:”, paste in your HTML ad code
for the “336x280 large rectangle” ad unit. The rest of the settings can be left at their de-
faults. Save that entry.
Next, we're going to do this process again, but slightly differently. This time next to
“Name:”, write “top post.”
Then next to “Ad Code:”, you're going to paste this in exactly:
<div style=”display:block;float:right;margin: 0px 10px 0px 0px;”>
“Adsense code”
</div>
Just replace the part that says “Adsense code” with the actual HTML code you have saved
(the same one you used earlier). The reason we inserted that extra bit of code is because we
want the ad unit to slide to the right of the post, with the text wrapping around it. Save this
entry too.
Once this is done, go to any post you have on your website (this process I'm about to de-
scribe is something you'll have to repeat for every post on your website). Once you click
on the post, make sure you are in the “HTML” view of your entry. On the tool bar, you will
see a dropdown button that wasn't there before, and in the dropdown you'll see the two
entries you made (“bottom post” and “top post”).
At the very beginning of your entry put in “top post” (by pressing “top post” on the drop-
down menu button) and at the very end of your entry put in “bottom post” (by pressing
“bottom post” on the dropdown menu button). Each time you did this a little bit of code
should have been inserted into your post. Now save the post and take a look! Your ad blocks
should now be live.
What this plugin does is it will insert that code that you setup in your plugin earlier directly
into your post. When you look at your post, you should see the Google Adsense blocks on
there.
Now do this for all the posts on your website, and your website will be optimally monetized
with Google Adsense ads, but in a subtle and safe way.
