Llwyn-y-Celyn Youth Hostel

woodland, 6 miles south of Brecon on the A470. With flagstone floors, rough stone walls
and sparse furnishings, this is a a spartan option, but ideal for walking - particularly as-
cents of Pen-y-Fan.

terns here, just neutral decor with a splash of colour to set off antique four-poster beds

cuits. It also offers a dinner with B&B rate. The Griffin is 5 miles northeast of Brecon,
just off the A470.

Talgarth Mill

Talgarth, between Brecon and Hay-on-Wye, 18th-century Talgarth Mill produces stone-
ground flour, which you can buy in its cooperative craft shop. The bakery sells beautiful
olive and apricot breads, cinnamon buns and almond twists, while the attractive cafe sup-
plements baked goods with soups, salads, local cheese and meat, and excellent puddings.

Griffin is situated 5 miles northeast of Brecon on the A470.
