version of the Wye Tour you can hire a two-person Canadian canoe (half-day/day/five
days £26/35/135), single kayak (£20/25/115) or double kayak (£26/35/165) from this
centre; transport and guides/instructors cost extra (guided trips £45 to £95). You'll need a
guide to navigate the tidal section of the river downstream from Bigsweir Bridge, near
Tintern. Beginners can opt for a half-day trip through the gorge at Symonds Yat (near the
Welsh-English border), or an evening's leisurely paddle from Monmouth down to Red-
brook.
