west of Chake Chake in Wesha.

meal a day, either pilau or biryani with a choice of green bananas, chicken or fish, but for
our money it's the best food in Chake.
Balloon Brothers SNACKS $
(Market St; snacks from Tsh100; lunch) This is a local haunt which offers snacks such
as samosas, sugar-coated ubuyu (baobab fruit) and bungo juice, the latter being very popu-
lar on Pemba.
Nabahani TANZANIAN $
(Misufuni St; meals Tsh1500-3000) Typical local dishes like beans and rice, ugali and fish.
Chake-Chake Needs SELF-CATERING $
(Wete Rd; 8am-4.30pm & 5-9pm) This dishevelled little grocery stocks exotic items
like peanut butter, pasta and cornflakes.
