Risk assessment - heavy plant & machinery (mobile and tower cranes)
This refers to all types of heavy plant, including tracked excavators, lorry mounted or
tracked cranes.

Traffic routes for crane movement around the site should be separated by inter-
locking barriers.

The hard standing for crane locations should be clearly identified on site plans.

The site hazard board should highlight when the cranes are in use.
Dedicated unloading areas should be highlighted on the plans.
