11.13 Extracts from contract programme
The company use standardised planning procedures on all major projects. The plan-
ning department support all planning stages from tender to project completion.
Planning engineers may be site based on larger projects or simply visit the site at
regular weekly/monthly intervals to upgrade the contract programme. Programmes
will initially be upgraded prior to monthly site meetings and a progress report pre-
pared with the site manager.
The company policy is to present all programmes using linked bar-chart principles
based on the Asta Development Software/Power Project.
The following programmes have been illustrated for the Chinley School Project:
Extract from retaining wall programme.
Extract from internal finishes programme.
Extract from procurement programme.
The software used for project planning is Asta Developments - Power Project / Team
Plan suite of programmes. The managers are familiar with the use and application of
Power Project and are capable of producing site short term programmes for any
stage of work.
