Getting There & Away
BUS
Truro is the county's main transport hub, with bus connections to most destinations in
Cornwall.
Falmouth (First Bus 88, 45 minutes; two or three per hour) Stops in Penryn and Devoran.
St Ives (First Bus 14, 1½ hours; half-hourly Monday to Saturday, every 2 hours on
Sunday) Via Chacewater, Redruth, Camborne and Hayle.
Penzance (First Bus 18, 1¾ hours; hourly Monday to Saturday)
Newquay (Western Greyhound Bus 585/586, 50 minutes; half-hourly Monday to
Saturday)
St Mawes (Western Greyhound Bus 550/551, 1 hour; hourly Monday to Saturday, every 2
hours Sunday) Stops in Tresillian, Probus and Tregony en route to Veryan, followed by
Gerrans, Portscatho and St-Just-in-Roseland on the way to St Mawes.
Wadebridge (Western Greyhound Bus 594, 1 hour 10 minutes; hourly Monday to
Saturday, one on Sunday) Runs to St Agnes in the opposite direction.
TRAIN
Truro is on the London Paddington-Penzance line (sample fares £3.90 to Redruth, £6.20
to Penzance & St Ives, £51.50 to £61.50 to London), and the smaller branch line to
Penryn and Falmouth (£3.90).
